Raf Simons has had a longstanding appreciation of The xx and was drawn to the band’s recent work with McLellan. Filmed in Los Angeles at Lloyd Wright’s Sowden house and John Lautner’s Rainbow House, the visual continues The xx’s longstanding collaboration with McLellan, who also directed the band’s videos for On Hold and Say Something Loving, as well as their collaboration on the It Could Be Love photo book zine.
The video is directed by Alasdair McLellan in collaboration with The xx and Calvin Klein Chief Creative Officer Raf Simons. The xx released a brand new music video for I Dare You, which is from their acclaimed number one album I See You. Over three days artists from across the world united to record a version of the Simon and Garfunkel classic Bridge Over Troubled Water. The track was recorded at Sarm Studios in West London – just half a mile from Grenfell.
